Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:
 
Contract Length: 6 months+ with possibility for extension
Pay Rate: Up to $25-$27/hr.
Shift: Monday-Friday

Provides evaluation of hazard communication and regulatory compliance support as it relates to the development, manufacture, sale, and distribution of products to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The incumbent will collaborate with business and corporate to integrate product stewardship management system elements into operations. Gathers information to be used in communications with a wide variety of functions including marketing, technical, legal, purchasing, product management, supply chain, customer service, technical service, and IT. With guidance from a senior product stewardship specialist, responds to customer requests, both internal and external, with a customer-centric sense of urgency. Assists in developing and providing product stewardship training and expertise for applicable personnel.

What you will do:

 

• Responsible for developing and implementing Product Stewardship compliance program for the Aerospace SBU to ensure products are introduced, sold, distributed, transported globally in compliance with Product Stewardship regulations.
• Support SDS management activities including trouble shooting and SDS availability in GPS database
• Oversee data transfer activities from ERP systems to GPS. Troubleshoot issues as needed
• Manage Dangerous Goods classifications for Aerospace products in GPS
• Support product compliance efforts using Overall Status tool


 

• Develop and update procedures and systems consistent with SBU and corporate practices.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to identify gaps and develop action plans to improve Product Stewardship processes within the business.
• Understand, support, and maintain necessary chemical notifications, registrations, authorizations under global chemical control regulations (REACh, TSCA, DSL, AICS, etc.).
• Point of internal contact for customer inquiries regarding product regulatory compliance matters.
• Monitor and manage emerging issues in the areas of Product Stewardship, and chemical regulation

• Support Raw Materials management activities


 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in EHS field, chemistry, engineering, or related science with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or advanced degree in EHS field, chemistry, engineering, or related science with less than 1 year of experience.
• Good working knowledge of product regulatory requirements both for domestic as well as international destinations as needed.
• Working knowledge of key business metrics, key drivers, business vision, and manufacturing processes/challenges as applicable.
