Production Associate for largest Chocolate Manufacturer in Berkeley, CA

Adecco-Medical & Science is hiring for Production Associate for one of our clients who are the best & largest chocolate manufacturer in Berkely,CA.

This position will be repsonsible for reading, understanding, manufacturing and molding the chocolate from the ingredients to the finished product. This includes sequiring formulated recipes, in accordance with good manufacturing practices (GMP), critical control point (HACCP) guidelines and security procedures.


This will be along term contract with our client & here are few details:

1. Contract Duration- 12 Months
2. Pay Rate- $19/ Hour
3.Location- Berkeley,CA
4. Time : For 1st 3 Months 8AM-5 :00PM & then Client may change the shift

Qualification


High school diploma or equivalent


3 years of industrial/manufacturing experience, preferably in the food or drink industry





Speak, write and read in English





Perform math at an intermediate level (multiplication, division etc.)



Work with allergens, such as soy, milk, tree nuts, etc.



Proven mechanical aptitude





Multi-tasking, problem-solving and decision-making skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail




Remain alert to safety hazards, maintain attention to stay on task, manage time effectively, and work independently and in a team to complete assigned tasks




Ability to lift 50-pound hand-loads










Responsibilities



Loading/Mixing: Read approved formulas and add ingredients to the mixer or bulk tank.
Refining/Testing: Prepare and operate the refiners to achieve desired particle and viscosity.
Mold Line: Operate line depositor and troubleshoot shape, weight, and temper issues on finished products.
Inventory: Follow procedures for labeling and storing of unused material before returning to warehouse team.
Sanitation: Follow correct cleaning procedures to complete production and non-production cleaning responsibilities.
Set up, tear down, and clean tanks, pipes, pumps, plates and misc. equipment.
Adhere to company and 3rd party standards on organic, Fair Trade and other certification standards in the production area
Responsible for “daily start-up” inspection of conveyors, scales, chillers and other mechanical systems
Keep assigned machines and surrounding area clean and safe per safety guidelines
Determine optimal machine parameters and targets, understand machine performance indicators, and coordinate issues and improvements with Maintenance
Promptly and accurately record production process information into TCHO’s Lot and Production Log spreadsheets
Move flush materials in and out of racking using first in/ first out (FIFO).
Read and interpret production and product format schedules.
Complete paperwork and log production information accurately.
Operate forklift and other material handling equipment for work as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.
