Want a great new career? We’ve got just the job for you! We’re hiring for a Production Control Specialist in Wapakoneta, Ohio for a temp to hire assignment on the amazing team at our client.

 

Here’s a preview of what you’ll be working on:

  • Coordinate expedites through the Production Manager to ensure that all customer expedite requests are responded to promptly. Weekly meet with sales to update delivery issues and coordinate with production group.
  • Maintain SAP system routings, bill of materials, drawings, revising records within the SAP system.
  • Monitor product going to and returning from outside vendors.  Generating outside request to vendors for grinding operations.  Maintaining and updating outside vendor list for all jobs at vendors.
  • Acquire existing blanks from inventory for new orders.
  • Control outgoing and incoming product from vendors.
  • Ordering replacement blanks for blank inventories as needed.
  • Assist operators with SAP log in and log out issues.
  • Release of blanks from inventory to production floor.
  • Scheduling of jobs in final inspection to reflect the job requirements from the weekly expedite list.
  • Check the progress of jobs which have been identified on the expedite list to meet the ship date requirements.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Provides direction and guidance to the Blank Inspection on the release of orders and on our remaining plant staff on issues related to Production Control.

  • This position requires a High School education preferred plus 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience using MS Office and Use of SAP. 
  • Additional experience in manufacturing, especially with a focus on cutting tool manufacturing, may be used as a substitute for the above education requirement.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to promote a team environment. 
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, and team building ability.
  • Ability to problem-solves using a variety of statistical and root cause tools.  
  • Adaptable; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and resolve issues
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations and work well under pressure.   

 

7:00 AM-3:30 PM $20 per hour
