As a production engineer, you will be required to make the production process as efficient as possible. You will achieve this by using various principles of engineering, technology, manufacturing and management science. It is a vocation that has significant overlap with manufacturing and industrial engineering.

Evaluate process and equipment capacities and deficiencies in all manufacturing areas.
Plan, schedule and coordinate implementation of machinery and process improvements.
Specify and coordinate capital equipment procurement and installation. Coordinate
facilities repairs and maintenance. Serve as leader on Safety Committee, evaluating safety issues and implementing corrective actions. Review, prioritize and direct maintenance personnel.
Purchase tools and equipment for manufacturing needs. Schedule pickup of hazardous waste. Keep monthly records of manufacturing environmental waste and submit yearly DEC report.


-Review, supervise and prioritize maintenance personnel
-Design, fabricate, and install assembly tooling and fixtures.
-Contact and coordinate third party design and fabrication of tools and equipment.
-Review maintenance purchases for cost reduction opportunities.
-Coordinate facilities repairs and maintenance functions.
-Maintain up to date status of industrial hazardous waste stream and submit for yearly DEC report.
-Plan, schedule and coordinate process improvements.
-Evaluate safety issues and implement corrective actions.
-Maintenance of security and fire equipment.
-Maintenance of cleanroom equipment-DI water generation, HVAC equipment and controls.
-Schedule pickup of hazardous waste.
-Maintain up to date MSDS sheets.
-Deal with local water, air and soil agencies.
-Deal with utility companies.


Bachelor’s degree in engineering prefferd
Professional Engineer(PE) licensure is a plus
Familiarity with CAD software
Proficiency using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access)
3-5 years proven experience in production/industrial engineering; managerial experience
Possess a wide breadth of knowledge in mathematics, physics and mechanics
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
Ability to effectively lead and direct employees
Detail-oriented and extremely efficient
Ability to maintain positive vendor and client relationships
Experience with design and industrial equipment.Environmental knowledge or background desirable
Supervisory experience
Can do attitude
Able to lift 50 lbs
