Production Manager

The Production Supervisor has an important hands-on position and responsibility for managing a diverse team of production employees in a PVD coating operation. The primary goal is to achieve the best service for customers by optimizing production schedules, properly organizing staff and improving workflow. The best service is achieved by our employees and therefore this key position has an important role to support, direct, train and assist the Production Team in an inspirational manner. High quality, safety, compliance, on-time delivery, & customer satisfaction ensure the proper CLIENT family of coatings and services are applied. Reports directly to the Plant Manager

To manage shop-floor staff and production processes under instruction of the Plant Manager to ensure that customers products of a PVD operation are processed in an efficient manner.

Scheduling of customer products via the use of an ERP system (Navision).

Help ensure a safe working environment.

Assist the Plant Manager in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees.

Help identify employees for promotion and promote respectful relationships throughout the plant.

Contribute to identifying and implementation of value adding strategies and techniques

Maintains a clean environment for all workers, implementing and promoting 5S and other continuous improvement principles within the facility

Compiles and analyzes production records

Is prepared to accepting training to enhance their own job role and promotion possibilities.

3-5 years experience of working and supervising in a PVD coating operation.

Minimum level of education is High School Diploma, but Associate Degree preferred depending upon PVD and other experience

2-4 minimum years of previous supervisory experience in an industrial service industry

Excellent coaching and communication skills

Ability to track expenses and compile budget reports

Knowledge of production planning processes

Production planning skills

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Understanding of machine controls, instrumentation, and basic machine maintenance

Proficient use of a PC and related software, including Microsoft Office

Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
