Production Manager

Our client slightly North of Raleigh, NC is searching for a passionate Production Mangager for one of the largest facilities in the area. This company exemplifies historic values, and is growing at an extremley fast pace! The department manager will be responsible for supervising team leads and associates in a mixing/manufacturing environment, assigns work, and implements policies/production methods that increase maximum efficiency, reduction of waste, and reduction of cost.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Implements and enables best practices of employee relations by coaching, employment decisons, and conflict management.
Effectivley manages quality, productivity, cost, and safety to maintain and exceed positive results.
Accomplishes performance management and reporting to the manager.
Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and training others to ensure prodcut specifications are met with quality and packaging standards.
Delivering training to associates will be one of the key aspect of this position. Person must have expert level of understanding and experience with equipment in mixing department.
Occasionally operating a forklift for material loading and unloading.
Performing all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Collaborate with Production & Quality to minimize quality defects help reduce customer complaints.
Have solution driven mindset and drive root cause analysis to proactively reduces quality concern upstream
Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Focus on safety & ergonomic aspects and implement Kaizen / 6S projects / tools to minimize safety risk.
Flexibility to work accross three 12 hour shifts
Performs accident investigations and reports to HR.
Inventory Management
Tracks absenteeism and timekeeping and is responsible for managing department priorities.

Education & Experience:

4 - 8 years in a supervisory role in a mangaement position within a manufacturing setting
Associate's Degree preferred

Physical demands:

Ability to lift objects up to 77lbs
Exposure to non-climate controlled manufacturing environment & moving mechanical parts
