A Production Operator II works as part of a team to produce quality electronic equipment within a dynamic manufacturing environment. A Production Operator II is proficient in all production tasks within their functional area and flexes easily between points of demand. The Operator may help guide less experienced production personnel.

Fabricates or assembles electronic equipment according to written work instructions
Delivers material to point of consumption in response to Kanban signals
Flexes to multiple work areas daily based on established patterns
Responds to data to adjust their production pace
Accurately performs inventory transactions
Actively participates in daily in Tier 1 Daily Management System (DMS) meetings
Contributes to continuous improvement projects
Keeps work area well organized and clean
Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum of 2 years related work experience
Must be able to work first shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm.
Training in and experience with lean manufacturing principles is preferred, but not required.
Familiarity with computers and Windows based applications
Ability to adjust work pace in response to daily production data
Possesses excellent verbal and written skills in English
Must be able to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and diffuse challenging situations using acceptable and appropriate methods
Able to multi-task and be flexible in a dynamic work environment while maintaining strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goals.
Attendance is a critical function of this position.
Work Environment:
Ability to lift 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. periodically.
Stand or sit for long periods.
Perform tasks (that may be repetitive) that require reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, walking, stooping and/or bending.
Work in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levels.
Use tools that require fine hand skills.
Visually, observe and differentiate small moving parts.
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required in designated areas.
