Adecco is assisting a local client  in Middlebury, VT that is seeking a Sanitation Worker. In this role you will

perform duties, as directed, and as part of a team, in all aspects of cleaning cheese and milk processing equipment and surrounding facilities, and to support roles in production including set-up and pre-operation inspection of production equipment, machinery, and environment. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, and provide guidance to trainees and co-workers. Some overtime required; participation in weekend and holiday rotation.  Must have mature judgment abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:


Will work as part of a team cleaning cheese and milk processing equipment and surrounding facilities, including set-up and pre-operation inspection of production equipment, machinery, and environment.


Must have good communication with fellow workers to organize and complete necessary sanitation tasks.


Will maintain a sanitary working environment.


Will insure that accurate Sanitation records are maintained including the Master Sanitation Schedule, chemical concentration logs, and related periodic equipment inspection check-off sheets.

Review daily production schedules and understand work requirements.

Understand specific standard operating procedures and product production specifications.


Inform appropriate parties when problems are encountered.


Must organize supplies and equipment needed for work shift, prior to operation


Understand collator operation, computer screen, and tower belt operation for 640 Line, including appropriate disassembly for sanitation.


Operate box wrapping machine and to make boxes as needed.


Know ‘End of Run’ procedures for emptying towers and packaging cheese.



Know shutdown and cleanup of 640 Line.


Ensure that production area is kept clear and free of hazards; keep working area clean and organized.


Follow Plant SQF procedures; responsible for all SQF paperwork associated with the job.


Ensure that finished product is packed into appropriate packaging, packaged correctly, or placed in applicable pallet configuration.

Attend all department and company required trainings.

Perform other duties as assigned. Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities Comply with all Plant, State, Federal, OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and SQF guidelines and regulations for food safety, quality, and employee safety.

Follow Good Manufacturing Practices requirements to ensure food safety and safe work practices.

Reports all safety and quality issues or deviations to management.



Must comply with the Agri-Mark code of conduct and code of ethics.

Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment. Must be able to work independently be a team player and work with minimum supervision and have the ability to interact positively with others within the department and the organization. Must be detail oriented and be able to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
