Production Superintedent- Roofing

Job Description and Responsibilities

The basic function of the Production Superintendents to effectively coordinate administrative efforts with the field efforts. The Production Superintendent manages the Service technicians and field staff. The Production Superintendent oversees the service tickets and jobs in progress to ensure that they are on schedule, meets budget both with labor and materials, and monitors the Safety measures for each ticket and team. The Production Superintendent schedules tickets with customers, coordinates material such as metal and ensures the service trucks are stocked, ensures all open tickets are scheduled, ensures Service teams are meeting OSHA safety standards, and monitors the quality of work within the field.

Education and/or Experience:

• Required: High school diploma.
• Required: Minimum Three years satisfactory work record as a Superintendent with a similar size-roofing contractor and minimum of eight years of roofing experience and three years Superintendent experience.
• Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid State Driver’s License
• Preferred: Five or more years’ experience as a Roofing Superintendent with a roofing contractor

Language Skills:

• Must read and write English, proficiently.
• Must be able to understand and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Understanding of Spanish is preferred.
Mathematical Skills:
• Must comprehend general arithmetical functions to compute dimensions, quantities and sizes of various parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Must be able to judge and compute percent of completion of jobs, and stages of jobs.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency with computers and software such as Navision.
• Ability to run reports as needed whether in Microsoft Office format or from Navision.
• Ability to work with Adobe and other programs that customers and General Contractors may use as communication tools.

• Dependable and self-motivated
• Ability to lift, carry and move items weighing in excess of 100 lb. occasionally
• Ability to lift, carry and move items weighing under 100 lb. frequently
• The mobility to stand, bend and kneel repeatedly or for extended periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders frequently and work on elevated roof surfaces
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, both hot or cold and in windy conditions
• Ability to operate tools that require extensive use of the hands
• Minimum of eight years of roofing experience and three years Superintendent experience.
• Clean driving record a must
