Production Supervisor 11:30 pm to 8:00 am

Ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner

  • 5 years minimum related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (Plastic industry experience is preferred).
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Strong KPI’s experience
  • Proficient in OSHA regulations

    Essential Functions

  • Create appropriate actions to achieve company goals to achieve KPIs and production priorities.
  • Communicate expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results.
  • Assign work to production personnel to support the production schedule and priorities.
  • Responsible for production KPI’s.
  • Drive a continuous improvement culture on the floor with all staff. Work with team to initiate and implement continuous improvement ideas and initiatives.
  • Prioritize daily activities to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment with the team.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including scheduled cleaning with documentation.
  • Perform daily material audits and apply corrective action.
  • Establish daily MPS audits and document them.
  • Follow established ISO and production procedures and ensure that all production employees are properly trained and following the procedures.
  • Determine appropriate labor requirements based on production targets. Assist in the recruitment of employees.
  • Recommend changes to the procedures that will improve quality and/or productivity.
  • Strong ERP involvement.
  • Submit detail and meaningful daily production report.
  • Train new employees and monitor the activities of all department employees to ensure the correct and efficient use of equipment to obtain a quality product.
  • Perform any operations in the department as required to meet production requirements.
  • Conducts weekly meetings with engineer to discuss problems.
  • Follows all Occupational Safety and Health Policies and Procedures. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
  • Follows Human Resources Policies and Procedures.
  • Understands and complies with all Departmental Quality Policies and Procedures.
