Production Supervisor

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to hold employees accountable
  • Accurate reporting on KPI or OEE
  • Efficient communication to HR and Director of Operations
  • Ensure the basics are being done at the DL, Kitchen, and Packaging
  • Control break times
  • Provide feedback to each employee quarterly

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure a clean and safe work area
  • Supervise production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
  • Responsible for shift schedule to include: work station assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations
  • Monitors and executes daily and weekly production schedule
  • Responsible to meet shift production goals
  • Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications
  • Monitor quality and productivity of each production employee
  • Monitor daily operations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Ensure the team is adequately staffed, managed and trained
  • Complete shift paper work
  • Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting teams performance in relation to company KPI’s
  • Communicate with other Supervisors, Production Manager, and Operations Manager
  • Schedule and conduct shift meetings
  • Assist with employee performance reviews
  • Train and coach production line employees
  • Assist Management in finding solutions to problem areas
  • Work with Maintenance on effective planning and monitoring production downtime and maintenance projects/PM’s, and shutdowns
  • Assist in production as necessary
  • Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP and Food Safety standards
  • Other duties as assigned

SCOPE DATA

  • This position will ensure the safe operation of personnel and equipment; ensures production deadlines are met, maintain highest level of product quality
  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to other employees in the performance of all duties
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ACG policies, procedures and applicable laws

WORKING RELATIONSHIP

  • Though reporting to a Production Manager, individual should be able to work independently
  • Work directly with all levels of organization

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – team player
  • Hard worker who is a self starter and proactive
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and machinery
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software proffered
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years supervisory experience
  • 2 to 5 years of manufacturing experience

EDUCATION

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus
