Adecco is currently assisting a local food production company in their search to find qualified Production Supervisor for their company in Woodland, Ca.  This is permanent opportunity. Responsibilities for this Production Supervisor job include:

 

  • Supervise shift leads in staging production.  Fill in the shift lead position and supervise the crew itself as needed.
  • Develop and expect Food Safety and Quality Assurance mindset with the team.
  • Ensure work is performed based on daily/weekly/monthly/annually work schedules within the department. Packaging seasonal demands may require 6 days a week during peak demand.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvements for facilities and process efficiency within the Production Department. Develop and expect worker safety and hazard control within your team.
  • Participate in and on occasion lead the weekly Safety meetings. When required, prepare weekly agendas and training topics. Work closely with Production Manager & HR to manage any modified duty restrictions.
  • Communicate & coordinate with the Maintenance Department for coordinating preventative maintenance, downtime and repairs. Strong understanding of mechanical principals, advanced equipment operating experience with extensive understanding of proper maintenance and configuration to maximize its performance.
  • Participate in the interview and performance review processes for Production related staffing needs. Coach and hold team members accountable to company processes, standards and expectations. Must have experience with corrective action process and proper documentation. Work closely with HR on all personnel concerns of performance or conduct.
  • Influence budget, cost control, planning, scheduling and procedural changes to improve the financial accountability of the Production Department.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Associate’s degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in a food production environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of GMPs and HAACP regulations
