Adecco is assisting a local client in Lake Forest, CA to help source for a Production Technician. This client produces safety detection products. The position is temp-to-hire, with a pay rate range of $17-$19/hour, and the schedule will be a 4-10 schedule Monday-Thursday.

The Production Technician tests all products within the cell.
Understands all aspects of product testing as it relates to quality, reliability and accuracy. Understands all test fixtures and test systems within the cell. Responsible for the workmanship and quality of all products produced. Must follow all procedures set forth to insure the highest quality products possible. Must complete all assigned tasks in an efficient and timely manner.

Job Duties:

  • Test electronic components and finished product final tests in accordance with documented procedures and product standards.  Includes heat test - operation of burn in oven, setting up for 24 hr or 72 hr cycle; cold test – exchanging tanks of liquid nitrogen from cart to test unit; and other tests using digital multi-meters and electronic test equipment.
  • Calibrate electronic components and finished product in accordance with documented procedures and product standards.  Requires use of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), flame test fixture, dummy loads, and gas cylinders-cell.
  • Troubleshoot test and calibration failures, performing work on non-conforming product/components as needed. May require use of magnifier to review product or components.
  • Delivers completed test components and product to other cell locations or stock room area, which may be completed with use of cart – pushing an average of 50lbs on a flat floor surface.  Lifts housing (approx. 10 lbs.) from cart to work station or tanks from dolly manually or by automated lifting device.
  • Assists with all production functions within the cell, including advising cell lead and operators of production issues/corrective measures.
  • Documents results of tests and calibration failures via computer and on logs. Completes and maintains relevant paperwork and may input information into a computer system.
  • Fill and exchange tanks of liquid nitrogen from filling station to work area.  This includes pulling/pushing the tank of liquid nitrogen 


  • Ability to read, write, and speak English including work instructions and test procedures
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and assembly diagrams
  • Basic soldering skills   
  • Strong manual dexterity for use of hand tools and power tools including cordless drills, screw drivers, pneumatic guns, pliers, wire cutters, etc.
  • Detail-oriented to prepare, assemble, and troubleshoot circuit board components
  • Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification and distinguish among different color coatings on wires
  • Skilled in use of digital multi-meter and other electronic test equipment; ability to troubleshoot at component level
  • Strong computer skills


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience as an electronics technician required
  • Completion of two-year accredited program in Electronic Technology preferred
  • Lifting to 35 lbs.
