A reputed University in New Brunswick is seeking part-time Professional Bartenders/Mixologists to join its Catering team. Events will be in the New Brunswick or Piscataway locations. They could also work at the University’s full-service restaurant.

Duties include but not limited to;

• Designs cocktails that are seasonal and / or aligned with the style of the establishment and prepares any house-made syrups, tinctures, bitters, or other ingredients that a bartender will need for service. 
• Selects ingredients behind the bar that are high quality and again, aligned with the bar or restaurant. 
• Creates innovative cocktails, often using unique, house made or historical (and now uncommon) ingredients and combing those to create unusual tastes in drinks. 
• Recommends and leads training on improvements to bar inventory management, precision pouring, waste reduction and trains all bar staff in the art of drink making; trains and manages bar staff.
• Delivers a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment. 
• Understands the art and craft of mixing cocktails, blends the new with the classics, concocts new and exotic drinks, and experiments with new distilled spirits.
• Delivers a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment.

Required:

• Requires a two (2) year degree, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 
• Must have completed an Alcohol Server Certification Course.

• Knowledge of Classic cocktails and wines.
• The ability to advise guests on cocktail & wine choices.
• Should have superior knowledge of liquors, beer and wine.
