Program Administrator

Title: Program Administrator

Hours: 40 hours per week, with some weekends, 25% travel locally to NYC

Location: 1 Washington Park, Newark NJ

Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Pay rate: $25/hr - $30/hr

Duties:

  • Work closely with the Director of Business of Fashion Programs in coordinating events, seminars, and conferences.
  • Provide, with supervision, confidential support assisting in the development and implementation of both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Organize, coordinate and oversee daily operations, by responding to prospective applicants, and updating databases. Assist in all stages of the all stages of the admissions process.
  • Serve as the interdepartmental link between key University departments, provides high level project management, writing and editing, procurement processing, and event planning.
  • Manage and prioritize responsibilities in all aspects of student and office administration, database organization, and day to day accounting including vendor contracts, preparation and processing of Cornerstone transactions such as payroll, purchasing requisitions, cash transmittals, and expense reimbursements.
  • Interface and serve as the initial point of contact for all prospective candidates, current students, and stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer proficiency
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Strong planning skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s or MBA preferred
  • Must have higher education experience
  • Must be willing to travel to NYC for events and work on Saturdays when needed for open houses.
  • Knowledge of international student application process is a plus.
  • Self managed with strong work ethic
