Program Administrator Readiness Temporary Part time



Job Title: Program Administrator - Readiness (Temporary/Part-time)

Hours: 20 hours/week 


Responsible for providing program administration in support of Herman Miller's Designer & Dealer Learning Program Readiness). Coordinates learning curriculum materials and various aspects of learning engagements from concept to delivery. Promotes the Readiness learning capability through working closely with key groups in the organization.




  • Facilitates a variety of cross-functional learning programs through processes û including logistics management, program implementation, vendor interfacing, and varied learning infrastructures.
  • Identifies and coordinates multiple resources including subject matter experts, writers, designers, events and other outside resources necessary to produce high quality results that maintain, promote and elevate the Readiness capability.
  • Responsible for communication with Design Readiness’s audience.
  • Responsible for communication and coordination as it relates to working with internal/external resources to execute Design Readiness programs/events.
  • Works with other Herman Miller departments such as Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Product Categories, Communications, Customer Experience, Events, Technology and Human Resources to achieve Readiness goals.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Education, Design, Business or a related field of study from an accredited program.
  • 1-3 years of experience in program administration, learning, communication, and design.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated skills in project/program administration.
  • Demonstrated high personal performance standards, the desire and ability to continuously learn and must be results-oriented; excellent coordinator time and resources.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and implementation skills as well as the ability to collaborate and negotiate; ability to function well in a team environment and ensure effective/timely project completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the HMI office environment.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must be a self-starter with the self-confidence and ability to represent HM in a professional manner.
  • Proven ability to pro-actively achieve goals and strategies under shifting conditions and with different responsibilities and people.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills with ability to effectively articulate and receive information in varied formats under a variety of circumstances.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
