Responsibilities for this Project Coordinator job include:

 

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of Cosmetic Repairs from an organizational and detail perspective, including all initiatives related to brand maintenance and repair projects for Ross and dd's stores.  Responsibilities also include, running the operations in a test lab/ warehouse, partnering with vendors and assisting in qualifying new vendors and Cosmetic Repairs by ensuring all samples / first run articles are checked through a rigorous quality control process and set up for review. This role also supports Store Planning, Merchandising, Strategic Sourcing and other business partner operations when necessary.  A key component of this role is having an understanding of the Ross and dd's brands and their current brand maintenance and repair programs, brand rules and repair standards.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reports to the Supervisor of Cosmetic Repairs and supports all aspects of Cosmetic Repairs, this includes creating and maintaining timelines and deliverables with all internal and external partners.
  • Manage outside vendors through attending weekly conference calls, coordinating vendor repair set ups, providing direction and feedback on deliverables.
  • Compares Cosmetic Repairs details of incumbent and competing Cosmetic Repairs vendors to ensure replication and/or design expectations are met
  • Coordinates sample Cosmetic Repairs and first articles of production in the test lab or offsite warehouse. This includes but is not limited to; receiving, unpacking, assembling, inventorying, inspecting all prototype & sample Cosmetic Repairs, coordinating the purging of Cosmetic Repairs, maintaining standards and organization in the test lab/ warehouse as well as setting up Cosmetic Repairs for Direct Import and design reviews.
  • Exercises organizational and floor layout expertise to maintain the standards and safety in the test lab.
  • Responsible for the inventory management of the Cosmetic Repairs data base in the lab by creating labels and taking photos of each Cosmetic Repairs.
  • Implements a rigorous quality control process of all incoming prototypes by comparing Cosmetic Repairs with manufacturing drawings and requesting replacements prior to scheduled reviews.
  • Sets up internal Cosmetic Repairs reviews in the test lab/ warehouse, when reviews are scheduled at stores or Corporate Headquarters.
  • Supports the partnership with Store Project Planning & Execution Cosmetic Repairs reviews in a store / warehouse set up to evaluate first articles of production / store POC and confirms Cosmetic Repairs qualities of fit, function, and finish from prototype to production remain.
  • Provides recaps of meetings and field visits.
  • Expectancy of continual self-development in Cosmetic Repairs functions. This includes learning other various software platforms, the use of tools to assist with the design of Cosmetic Repairs.
  • Maintains and uploads Cosmetic Repair’s request processes and cash wrap planograms on the Intranet.
  • Supports the MerchLogix program by uploading, maintaining drawings and taking pictures of prototype Cosmetic Repairs.
  • May participate in Proof of Concept, competitive shopping, field visits, vendor facility visits and Field Leadership Meeting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

No unusual physical requirements. Requires an ability to lift up to 35 lbs., move and able to assemble & disassemble store Cosmetic Repairs, aptitude to operate both manual and powered tools such as a crowbar, hammer, screw drivers, power drill and other necessary tools.

30% of work is performed in a large annex/warehouse space and the 70% is performed in an indoor facility.

Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; some interruptions are present.

Occasional air travel with advance notice and exposure to demands/pressures from persons other than immediate Supervisor.

Job frequently requires reading, hearing, talking, standing, sitting, walking, bending, assembling, driving, working with hands, setting up and lifting up to 35 pounds as well as driving/air travel.

Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically and capable of distinguishing hues of color (e.g., varying shades of white)

Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or higher in retail or design related-field preferred.
  • Store, corporate and/or cosmetic repairs experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • 1-3 or more years’ experience in Cosmetic Repairs and/or furniture assembly / design / testing preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Project.
  • 2 years of project management experience required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency to work autonomously and deliver accurate data on-time.
  • High degree of reliability, including accountability for daily, weekly, and long-term projects.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Able to operate manual and powered tools such as a crowbar, hammer, screw drivers, power drill and other necessary tools.
  • Ability to operate a manual pallet jack preferred.
