Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Project Engineer Job near Pittsburgh, PA (Ambridge, PA) for our client, a prominent manufacturer in the steel processing business. We are seeking candidates with an Electrical Engineering Degree and experience with Electrical Controls, Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting and programming, RSLogix5000 and Automation and Controls experience, in addition to Project Engineering experience. The Project Engineer will provide engineering services to increase capacity and improve the efficiency of the steel-processing operations in all engineering aspects of plant capital projects, plant facilities and plant maintenance. Our Project Engineers are accountable to take assigned automation and control CAPEX projects from inception through completion, working together with operations leadership. Our client offers an excellent starting pay of $95,000 and up along with an excellent benefits package. Relocation package is available for candidates that live outside the Pittsburgh area.

Responsibilities for the Project Engineer Job near Pittsburgh, PA include:
--Scoping of projects and development of project submittal, including budget estimate with back-up and schedule
--Accountable to support capital & expense projects from inception through completion
--Project execution – review contractor bids and contracts, track physical & budget progress
--Performs automation implementation activities with the installation and or improvements in PLC automation.
--Assists in trouble-shooting plant operations to improve the efficiency of the operation
--Identifies plant bottlenecks and develops projects to improve or eliminate those bottlenecks
--Tracks and monitors project objectives, cost, timelines, and deliverables.
--Receive and prepare as-built drawings and operating manuals for all projects.
--Conducts contractor and project meetings.
--Report status of current projects and notable other activity in writing on a weekly basis.
--Conducts projects utilizing independent engineering evaluation and selection techniques.
--Proposes modification to standard techniques, procedures and criteria utilizing sound engineering principals and judgment when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:
--Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation & Controls, or Computer Science with 2 years of experience in Project Management in heavy industry.
--Proven and demonstrable project management skills
--Controls and automation experience
--Specialized in process automation – PLC troubleshooting, implementation, and improvement
--PLC troubleshooting experience 5 years RSLogix 5000 / Studio 5000 Experience
--Experience with FactoryTalk View SE and ME implementations
--Experience with Rockwell Historian and VantagePoint
--Knowledge of Industrial Ethernet systems
--Authorized to work in the United States
