Full time – PROJECT MANAGER – Job Open

The Project Manager will provide oversight of large and cross functional projects including launch, completion, tracking and summarization. We will look to you to ensure that project initiatives within the work stream are completed, tracked and monitored using modern processes of the highest quality and provide status updates as requested. The PM will make sure that appropriate risk mitigation and change management principals are applied appropriately within the groups impacted by the project.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Dedicated resource for Financial and Actuarial projects especially with respect to the corporate implementation of the new IFRS 17 standards. You will manage project execution for all phases of the project: formation, kick-off, scope, requirements gathering, development, testing, training, schedule and project risks.

Communicate project information and status to stakeholders and senior leadership. Establish project roles and responsibilities, deploy resources and determine resource allocation. Define resource requirement plans. Ensure that allocated resources are compliant with project execution. Work across all impacted functional areas (Finance, Actuarial, IT, Legal and Compliance, etc.)
Supervise project documentation delivery in accordance with standards. Assure all development is compliant with company policies and procedures, including the Model Risk Control Framework. Ensure any variation to the project scope is clearly recognized and approved. Define the procurement strategy (if needed) based on best-practice procurement plan and providers selection. Manage contract administration (order management, billing and payment).

Qualifications
- BS/BA degree, PMP would be preferred, but not required.
- 5+ years of project management experience with multiple projects.
- Knowledge of insurance accounting requirements (Stat, Tax, GAAP, IFRS) strongly preferred.
- Prefer knowledge and understanding of various insurance carrier home office functions (Actuarial, Finance, Administration, IT, Marketing, Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.).
- Track record of success completing projects on time and within budget.
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to facilitate complex teams to define outcomes in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Ability to work in an early stage environment, while helping to build out initiatives.
- Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.
- Experience using a project management system to plan and execute projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; both internal and client facing.
- Lean Six Sigma and/or PMP certification strongly preferred.
