Specific Duties:





This is a hands-on role that combines the skill set of a BA, Project Manager, and technical expertise; it requires someone who is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and data-savvy.

Day-to-day management of business partner and client data files involves building to specs, error resolution, ongoing support, and exceeding customer expectations; in addition, the role is responsible for managing continuous improvement projects across the various DFM teams and providing program management oversight for critical business segments. Responsible for managing setups in the eDTS (Enterprise Data Tracking System); processing approximately 20 new project requests each month, resulting in approximately 20 new setups per month to meet forecast . This role is critical to ensure that our business partners, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders continue to receive and send files necessary to support the day-to-day business of UHG and that those files are processed in a timely, secure, and compliant fashion with the necessary file and data quality checks in place.

Primary responsibilities for this role include:
• Conducting business requirements gathering for data file management – file and field level quality controls – that are built into an Optum-developed software application
• Conducting triage on file transaction failures and working through issues to resolution
• Documenting systems and processes for the Data File Management team
• Presenting Data File Management capabilities to business partners and stakeholders

What software tools/skills are needed to perform these daily responsibilities?
• The ability to pick up new technology quickly is essential
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Experience with MadCap Flare or similar online content tool
• Familiarity with a Webex, or Webex-like application
• Access/SQL is helpful, but not required

How will performance be measured?
• The ability to understand and correctly articulate our capabilities
• The ability to correctly match requirements to system functionality
• The ability to build flawless setups and configurations in Optum systems
• The ability to triage and resolve issues correctly and in a timely manner

What skills/attributes are nice to have, and will set a candidate apart?
• Access/SQL
• Technical writing experience
• Project Management experience (intro level only – ability to follow through to completion and keep multiple projects going at once)

• Strong attention to relationship management
• Flexibility

Where is the work to be performed (Optum location, or telecommute)?
• Optum’s Eden Prairie Headquarters

How would you prefer to interview (phone, in person, virtually, etc.)?
• Start with a phone interview and move to in person for second round

What are the work hours?
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT
