As part of the Enterprise Research and Development (ERD) team, this Business Writer vision for a more transformational and efficient health system. To support this vision, the Business Writer’s role has the function to support research and development projects that work to improve the health care system and contribute to the broader national conversation on making high quality health care more affordable and accessible.

As a Business Writer, this person is responsible for working to improve the context, clarity, and creativity of a wide variety of Corporate Research and Development written content including, but not limited to proposals, presentations, white papers, strategic plans, client/board meeting materials, abstracts and/or research manuscripts. He/she will be responsible for making ideas and business objectives of initiatives come alive in words, slides and other communications – for audiences across the enterprise



Job Requirements
* BA degree (English, Communications, History, Political Science, Anthropology - program that requires critical thinking, reasoning, writing)
* 2-3 years of experience in a business strategy, health care or writing role
* Work experience in business strategy/analysis (in health care) with strong writing skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Visio, Project, OneNote, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
Preferred
* MA in business or health care management, public health, public policy/administration, data sciences
* Business strategy background who does a lot of communicating and writing, including things like RFPs
* Strong, nimble and creative thinker who also is disciplined about writing and communicating to different audiences
* Technology savvy and highly organized
* Ability to adopt different writing styles for different projects
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to effortlessly edit sophisticated, complex health care documents
* Excellent written and oral communication skills; experience, creativity, and talent to take content and knowledge from a variety of sources and produce highly professional and concise written documents
* Avid reader who self-educates and stays up to date on the latest news/current events; enthusiasm for the health care industry specifically and research and development innovation broadly
* Ability to work in a project-based team environment with continuous cooperation and interaction with various team members on a daily basis
