Position Summary:

 

Adecco North America Group is assisting our global premier financial service corporation in their search for a Project Management with Planning, Governance and Strategy skills. 

 

The Project Manager will assist the Planning, Governance & Strategic Alignment (PGSA) team in defining and overseeing the U.S. Business 2019 three-year plan including discretionary and nondiscretionary project and corresponding expenses. They will assist in planning, execution and tracking of all initiatives and alignment to the strategic direction. They will capture and operationalize metrics tracking and mthly/qtrly executive reporting on KPI. In addition, the Project Manager will assist managing the department expense budget, establishing informative reporting packages, reviewing direct expenses, and overall business goals

 

Location: Tampa FL

W2 Contract: 6 + months (possibility of extension depending upon business needs of project)

Description of the Opportunity:

 

Our global financial client has recently refreshed their enterprise strategy and implemented a more rigorous portfolio management practice informed by metrics and KPI.  As a result, new and enhanced reporting and scorecards are being developed in each level of the 4-tier governance framework. Analyzing and reporting monthly and quarterly changes to key business initiatives is essential for evaluating prioritizations are aligned to the strategic direction and enables executives to make decisions using update information

 

This Portfolio Management Business Analyst will assist the Planning, Governance & Strategic Alignment (PGSA) team in overall support in defining and overseeing the U.S. Business 2019 three-year plan including discretionary and nondiscretionary project and corresponding expenses. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, execution and tracking of all initiatives and alignment to the strategic direction. They will capture and operationalize metrics tracking and mthly/qtrly executive reporting on KPI. In addition, the BA will assist managing the department expense budget, establishing informative reporting packages, reviewing direct expenses, overall business goals and asking questions, analyzing and support the overall process. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Track progress on overall portfolio and ensure proper reporting to management and relevant business stakeholders
  • Assess and resolve all high priority project risks as they are encountered
  • Track and manage issue identification and resolution
  • Create various U.S. Business metrics reports and scorecards
  • Generate financial reviews, aligning budget, forecast and actuals in various reporting formats
  • Expense actuals to budget / forecast monthly
  • Future year planning for key budget areas e.g. travel targets, 
  • Able to translate plans into specific accounting monthly budgets for multiple years
  • Support overall governance planning across sub-line of business tasks
  • Generate executive reporting packages
  • Create and operationalize models pulling from various sources

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  •  5+ years’ experience in similar field or PMO or PM knowledge either hands-on or working on a team.

  • Business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at multiple levels of executives
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions / recommendations
  • Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills

 
Technical Skills:

• Proficient with MS Office, Outlook and SharePoint (Excel is necessary including pivot knowledge)
• Proficient with the project and portfolio management tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.)
• In depth understanding of project management concepts (Agile would be a plus but not necessary)
