Title: Senior R&D Project Manager

Location: Purchase NY
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: 75.00$
Contract: 40 Hours per week
Hours/Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Coordinator will play a critical project integration role across two key streams of work which support a broader global initiative. It is critical for this individual to possess:
Deep Program/Project Management toolbox
Clear communication skills (written/verbal) that can be tailored to different audiences
Strong drive to bring clarity to the work at the detailed level across stakeholders
Ability to quickly organize and summarize data & information to drive decisions
Leadership capabilities to effectively hold work owners accountable
Solid knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
Proven ability to address problems associated with bottlenecks & constraints

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide program/project management support for three key streams of work under the umbrella of a larger, more complex global program. Streams of work have multiple components and require integrated plan management in order to be successful. Key areas of support are as follows:
Manage integrated project plan relative to key streams of work
Collaborate with leads to coordinate the projects and their interdependencies
Drive daily program management activities including monitoring progress
Support project governance through Risk, Issue, Change Management
Ensure alignment of project deliverables to anticipated program level outcomes
Support all aspects of status reporting and communications
Identify and support remediation of program level gaps where applicable


BA in Business or related discipline
7 - 10 years of program/project management experience
Demonstrated experience managing complex global programs/projects with IT system implementation components
Microsoft Project, XLS, PPT expertise
Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
Strong leadership and management skills
Strong attention to detail and organization
Self-starter with a bias for action and results
Comfortable with ambiguity
Experience working in and delivering through a matrixed organization


Consulting experience with Fortune 500 corporations
PMI Certified
Subject matter expertise in Information Technology and/or Research & Development
