W2 Contract 6 months

Pay Rate: $39.25 per hour

Location: Tampa FL



Program Management and Business Analyst team within Business Optimization and Controls. This team provides support to US Business and Global Operations including: Group Benefits, Retirement and Income Solutions, client’s Holdings and Property and Casualty. This team leads very large strategic programs that focus on providing a holistic solution across all those business areas.


Role duties: projects/initiatives/metrics:


NYQuinQuin - This is a project that involves a significant number of associates at all levels of the enterprise and across many lines of business including group and individual life, health and annuity business as well as various IT groups. Hence the Project Management aspect of this opportunity becomes very essential to:

  • Ensure all teams (Actuaries, Admin Teams/Business, Legal, Finance, IT Teams) are aligned and work together to develop the reports and other artifacts for the State of NY.
  • To track the progress made by the various LOBs and can provide a status update on the progress at any point of time to the State of NY.
  • Ensure all Data Reporting and Reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.

Communication will be Internally: Actuaries, Admin Teams/Business, Legal, Finance, IT Teams


Background skill set required for this role:

  • Advanced skills in business management tools including: Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Project and Access.
  • Experienced with technology portfolio and risk management tools.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or advanced knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) / Client’s Project Portfolio Management (CPPM)

Qualifications Required:

  • Experience in business optimization, problem solving, or strategic solutioning roles with progressive responsibility, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing and simplifying complex business processes, technology and change programs across a matrixed organization for a Fortune 50 company.
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Analytics with the ability to assess business needs and provide strategic user-friendly solutions with a focus on customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management to drive the planning and execution of a business strategy, cross-organizational initiatives, or optimization projects.
  • Strong leader with demonstrated sound business judgment. Able to inspire the trust, confidence and respect of peers and other senior leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills – including oral and written communications, relationship building, collaboration, influencing, negotiation and conflict mediation – across a broad range of levels in the organization.
  • Ability to work independently with flexibility and focus in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to champion change, inspire a shared vision and promote key values.
  • Analytic and strategic thinker capable of translating senior-level direction and corporate risk management policies and procedures into structured, practical, efficient and effective business processes
  • Able to achieve results in a matrix setting through stewardship, influence, motivation and change leadership
