Project Manager - VMS project coordination - NON IT!!!!

W2 contract 12 months

Pay Rate: depends upon experience

Our client is a premier insurance asset management corporation with breadth across various asset sectors and global markets, and strong asset-liability management capabilities.

This position supports VSM project coordination from US, Small Market Digital and will put together a project / initiative tracking system to track resource allocation across all projects.

Specifically this area supports US Claims organization – All functions outside of claims, such as QA, Procedures, Risk Management, Compliance, Reporting, Planning, Appeals, Litigation etc)



Our client is developing a new operating system for small market, the team's role is to ensure the right business resources are provided to the project team and coordinate those activities, ensure the business is being represented appropriately, and issues/concerns are escalated to leadership for engagement.
Tech Ops VSM – Coordination of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for organization with the GSS who will be conducting the VSM.
Tactical Coordination – Given dynamic work environment and that department supports all lines of business, in need of someone to be able to work on various smaller projects(ie Disaster Recovery Plan updates, development of a resource allocation database, etc) as well as support organizational activities (ie developing scorecards, staffing models, etc
The successful candidate will be someone with leadership quality(ie can navigate a leadership team and know what they need, coordinate with all levels in the org), strong organizational skills (ie can manage many projects/priorities and can present information in a polished format) and is savvy with data (ie strong in excel, presenting information in a useful way)



Responsibilities:


Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project so you must be able to facilitate and coordinate meetings. Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project. Familiar with a variety of the project management's concepts, practices, and procedures. Will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as the successful candidate will need to be flexibility and comfortable with fast paced project environment. You would typically report to a
manager or head of department.

Essential Qualifications:

BS/BA degree in applicable field of expertise
7 years of experience in the field or in a related area
Project Management skilled in all aspects including tracking benefits and budget
Computer proficient with MS Office
Strong Excel and PowerPoint Presentation skills required!
Sharepoint Database experience preferred.
Familiarity with LEAN / Six Sigma, AGILE methodology
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle meeting scheduling, coordination and some facilitation
Flexibility and comfortable with fast paced project environment
