Job Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Duration: 12 Months
Shift: Mon – Fri 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Pay: 17.50 per hour

Summary: The main function of a Project Specialist will provide a broad range of administrative support and coordination on project related activities / tasks for a Project / Portfolio Management Office.

Job Responsibilities:
• Provides specialized project administration, coordination and basic analytical support for a Project / Program / Portfolio or Project Management Office (PMO)
• Time horizon and nature of work is focused on day to day or weekly activities and department specific issues
• Works within fairly well defined guidelines and procedures and escalates issues to management as necessary
• Manages the coordination of meetings, preparation of meeting minutes and maintaining program artifacts on SharePoint

Skills:
• Undergraduate degree or relevant experience required
• Previous industry specific experience an asset – financial and / or credit card preferred
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills to identify risks and learn from experiences
• Experience with quantitative analysis, financial tracking and reporting and data gathering and documentation
• Ability to work independently and within a larger team
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Solid conflict resolution and negotiation skills to collaborate across internal and/or external groups/partners
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools – including Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve targets while meeting a standard of excellence
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills
• Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to cope with rapid change

1.) Banking experience
2.) Credit card industry experience

EDUCATION:
Post-secondary preferred
0-2 years of related experience
