Project Superintendent/Site Manager-Construction

Adecco Direct Placement is recruiting on behalf of our client in Charlotte, NC for the position of Project Superintendent/Site Manager. Candidates who have a 3-5 year background as a Project Superintendent in the construction industry, and experience with Structural Steel will be highly preferred. Job Duties:

Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, Engineering and Customer or Customer Representative to obtain all pertinent project information (including but not limited to: equipment drawings, material requirements, building colors, etc).
Coordinate with Customer, Engineering, Manufacturing and Logistics to obtain and maintain an accurate project schedule.
Site Supervisor is responsible of planning and defining scope, activity planning and sequencing, resource planning (Owner is responsible to provide adequate resources.), developing schedules and time estimating (in accordance with actual resources), cost estimating, documentation, monitoring and reporting progress, and controlling project quality.
Participate and/or coordinate an initial project Pre-Construction meeting. The meeting shall include at least the following representatives: Owner Representative, Concrete Crew Superintendent, Erection Crew Superintendent, and Equipment Installation Superintendent.
Update the Owner with the Project Schedule in accordance with the Contract Terms & Conditions with projected milestones (delivery date(s), completion of main framing, completion of secondary framing, etc).
If needed, provide field training to the erection crew during new building erection and/or if erection crew changes during any given project. This will ensure proper installation of the building.
Coordinate deliveries with the manufacturing plant and be on-site during building components delivery.
Review work prior (i.e. foundation work) and during erection to ensure proper installation of the Building.
Prepare and maintain daily logs and weekly reports. Weekly reports MUST be submitted to the Owner’s Representative and Engineering Department.
Communicate with the Owner’s Representative, Erector’s Superintendent and Engineering any unsafe method of installations, and quality concerns. Document these concerns in daily logs and weekly reports.
In case of a Change Order; document conditions, prepare change order and submit to Estimating and Engineering for cost and availability. Review and submit Change Order with Owner’s Representative for approval.
Once erection work is complete, conduct an inspection walk-through with Owner’s Representative and Erection Superintendent. Create a Punch List with any erection problems and Submit to Owner’s Representative and Erector Superintendent.
Perform a Final Walk-through with Owner’s Representative and Equipment Supplier. Complete a Final Inspection Report.

Preferred Experience:

2-3 years of experience as a Project Superintendent
2 years of experience with light gauge and structural steel
Bilingual-English and Spanish (not a necessity, but a bonus)
Site Supervisory experience
