Adecco is looking for a Junior Buyer in Salem NH.  We are looking for team players that are organized and reliable!

 

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

SUMMARY – Ability to communicate with all employees in a professional and courteous manner.  Able to deal with interruptions in order to keep the production team efficient. Must be a team player with the ability to work with others & share in the responsibilities. Responsible for purchasing a wide variety of nonstandard, specialized and custom equipment and materials requiring knowledge of electronic and/or mechanical product specifications and sources of supply.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • With the guidance of more senior level staff, determines supplier capabilities and works with multiple suppliers to establish a competitive environment.
  • Able to effectively interact with team members. Communicates internal problems or issues to managers. Cooperates with coworkers and helps team leaders meet goals. Shares information and ideas with the team.  Meets all team deadlines and responsibilities.
  • Main contact for suppliers – handle questions, comments and obsolete parts
  • Administer Shortages (expedite, order samples, make phone calls and follow up)
  • Orders items for Safety Stock (2 card system)
  • Advise Account Managers of lead time issues
  • Vendor returns (Follow thru with credits and replacements; work with AP)
  • Advise Sr. Buyer/Planner when blanket and master PO’s are 60% complete
  • Responsible for AVL and setting up new vendor in vendor maintenance
  • Handle reschedules
  • Suggest items to be added to consignment to the Sr Buyer
  • Order non-inventory items with appropriate approvals
  • Other Purchasing projects as assigned
  • Add items to consignment using tools like queries and reports
  • Add cost changes and merges to cost change database
  • Customer ECO checklist

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Must have procurement experience in this type of industry.  Must be comfortable using the computer and have the ability to work and communicate with others professionally at all times.

 

Pay Rate: $16/hour
