Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an exciting Purchasing Clerk role in Harleysville, PA!  Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!

 

Duration: Contract (4 months – with the possibility to be extended)

Pay rate: 20 – 23/HR

Shift: M-F 8 – 5P

This position is directly responsible and accountable for reviewing MRP reports, creating discreet work orders, and supporting the plans of the Buyers. The incumbent must be able to work independently from MRP reports to support delivery commitments and follow direct instructions from Buyer-Planners that usually have to be carried out the same business day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Reviews MRP reports daily to determine parts that need to be ordered. Compiles historical price and usage data.
  • Maintains record of unconfirmed POs and follows up with vendors to confirm delivery date and price.
  • Communicates reschedule notifications to vendors and modifies PO due dates and quantities to meet any change in demand since the PO was submitted.
  • Expedites materials as directed by Buyers. Provides delivery dates to all stakeholders as requested.
  • Prepares shipping forms for subcontract and return materials and assures movement of material from internal departments to supplier.
  • Reviews MRP reschedule reports and advises Buyers of actions needed to achieve on-time delivery and maintain established inventory levels.
  • Performs invoice reconciliation – verifies supplier piece price and ship quantity matches PO and material receipt.
  • Processes E-Procurement requisitions for MRO items; follows up with vendors.
  • Participates in ISO-9001 audits as required.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     
  • High school graduate, APICS courses are desirable.
  • Knowledge of MRPII, multi-level bill of material products, and general office procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers, word processing, and spreadsheets.
