Purchasing Professional / Buyer

Our team is recruiting for our client, a global leader in the aerospace, defense and security industry with annualized revenue of over $22B. Headquartered in Paris, France, they are the third largest aerospace supplier and have operations throughout the world, including the US, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. They are hiring for a Procurement Professional in the Florence, KY area.


As a Procurement Professional you will be responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods and raw materials using demand flow processes; manage and develop supplier relationships; place purchase orders ensuring all data is accurate and all required approval signatures are obtained; coordinate and conduct business review meetings with key suppliers; work with Planning in determining material needs based on production cycles and customer demand; ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements/contracts; provide proactive recovery plans for forecast shortfalls and production/inventory changes; maintain desired inventory levels for assigned materials, and interface with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to achieve quality and cost goals.

Requirements:

APICS Certification preferred.
SAP experience within the materials function or other ERP/traceability/planning software strongly preferred.
