Adecco is currently helping a local client recruit for an Purchasing/Inventory position in South Sarasota. 

Job Description:
         Carefully review and verify inventory requisitions and issue purchase orders with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
         Negotiate with vendors and wholesalers and analyze pricing proposals to obtain most favorable terms for the company.
         Deliver analytics-based insights and offer recommendations to managers and officers concerning potential new products, cost savings estimates, usage trends, and other relevant data critical to effective business decision-making.
         Create and maintain detailed item records in ERP system critical to business processes throughout the company.
         Procure non-inventory goods and services for internal and external use.
         Communicate defective or unacceptable goods and services with vendors to take corrective action and manage damaged/defective inventory bins.
        Provide additional inventory control and cost minimization by monitoring companywide stock levels and recommending inventory transfers from alternate warehouses for order fulfillment.
         Conduct periodic reviews of slow moving inventory and make recommendations for write-offs.
         Evaluate opportunities that may qualify for various vendor rebate programs and submit for rebates on a monthly or quarterly basis as required by program¿s terms and conditions
         Provide payment authorizations and receipts to Accounts Payable for any invoices or p-card transactions as necessary.
         Effectively communicate important information between vendors and  stakeholders.
         Read and interpret documents such as price lists, catalogs, requisitions, vendor quotes, and invoices.
         Other miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
         Associate degree or equivalent work experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.
         Strong knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (e-automate) and other fundamental software systems.
         Aptitude for learning new processes and adapting to change
         Strong problem solving skills and mathematical ability
         Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
         Excellent organizational skills.
        Ability to multi-task.
        Good written and oral communication skills.
