Position Summary
This career opportunity comes with dual responsibilities that combine technical sales estimating with procurement and purchasing functions. Coordinate time sensitive activities to prepare full cost, advanced manufacturing estimates by analyzing customer requests, requirements and engineered drawings to provide a total bid price. Read and understand blueprints and other technical documents. Create and modify BOMs for new and existing inventory products within the companies SQL/Oracle based ERP software system. Procure materials and services of the highest value, according to specifications, for the manufacturing of the companies’ products, and for facility and equipment maintenance requirements. Manage existing and develop new vendor relationships. Oversee material delivery schedules. Coordinate daily functions with the shipping/receiving department, including status reports for outsourced purchase orders. Provide overflow coverage for Office Administration/AR Specialist as needed.

Technical Sales Estimator Functions:
Create and modify BOMs
Obtain pricing and lead time for material, subcontracting and other outside vender services
Analyze engineered drawings and other physical and technical customer specifications to prepare time cost materials labor estimates
Coordinate and prepare estimates with management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
Assess cost of effectiveness of products projects or services, tracking actual costs of relative to bids as the project develops
Consult with customers, vender's and internal personnel to resolve issues and formulate estimates
Establish cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
Purchasing Functions:
Source, Qualify and manage all suppliers/ vender's to ensure demand is met within specification, cost, quality parameters
Work with vender's an internal resource to ensure timely delivery of materials needed for production and outsourcing
Initiate purchase orders and ensure prompt receipt of raw materials, parts returning from outside process and all purchased company supplies and equipment
Manage customer furnished, raw material, semi-finished and finished goods inventories and resolve any discrepancies identified in the ERP system software
Compare and ensure the cost of hew purchased items matches BOM standards
Verify and coordinate all appropriate documentation and certifications associated with purchased materials and outsourced processes
Oversee the returns and credits of defective materials purchased
Proactively identify and rectify errors, omissions, and inaccuracies of data in the ERP system software
Assist CEO and GM as necessary
Actively participate in standardization and cost reduction
Communicate, coordinate and resolve purchasing and inventory issues
Provide overflow coverage for office Administration/AR Specialist including the sales order entry, finished goods packing slips and labels
We are seeking someone that comes with a high level of interpersonal and time management skills to coordinate confidential, time sensitive situations and documentation
Ability to effectively interact with others inside and outside of the organization
Basic knowledge of company GL account code structure for cost assignments
Ability to work and excel in a schedule driven environment
Customer Service demonstrate the ability to respond with a high degree of urgency to the needs and requests of others internally and externally

Required Education Experience
BA/BS degree is required
2 years estimating in a technical field – manufacturing
1 + years’ experience using MRP/ERP systems in manufacturing
Compensation:
$50k DOE
