Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Purchasing Specialist job in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a contract temporary opportunity lasting 2-4 months long. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for providing transactional support and procurement of required materials and services needed to support the organization. Primary activities include to reviewing requisitions, issuing requests for quotation, issuing purchase orders, handling expedited orders, coordinating delivery terms, communicating with internal customers and external vendors. Responsibilities for this Purchasing Specialist job include:

- Purchase goods and services that meet the specifications and requirements of the end user
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of practical application of goods and services for operations
- Maintain and update programs
- Demonstrates ability to manage high volume of frequently recurring transactions in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner with supervision


- Minimum of 2 years experience in purchasing
- Must have experience with purchase orders or contracts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proven ability to work in a team environment

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Pay for this position is $18/hr. This is a short term contract opportunity.
