QA Engineer (Performance) 1

A QA Engineer (Performance) I in Cupertino, CA is currently available courtesy of Modis Engineering, an Adecco Group Company. The Music Apps team is looking for an experience QA Engineer/QA Lead to work as part of the expanding mobile applications quality assurance group. The individual will work closely with product management software developers and system engineers to understand requirements and participate in design discussions. This is a six month plus project and the pay rate is up to $40.17 per hour.

QA Engineer (Performance) I job responsibilities:

Conduct performance, scalability, and reliability tests of business tools, third party applications and consumer-facing eCommerce applications
Design, orchestrate and analyze load tests using a variety of load testing tools (e.g. Mercury LoadRunner), statistics and analysis techniques
Effectively communicate analysis of performance test results, bottlenecks, sizing guidelines, and recommend improvements for Java applications and database specific issues
Manage and execute build and deploy activities for performance testing environment


0-2 years of experience
Experience in automated performance, scalability and stress testing of highly scalable – eCommerce systems using industry performance tools, e.g. Mercury LoadRunner
Experience in capacity planning for large scale systems
Strong system engineering skills
Experience on Android, iOS, macOS, tvOS
Strong Android/iOS/macOS knowledge base
Experience with syncing data across applications/platforms
Knowledge of media file formats
Experience setting up networks and using network debugging tools
Experience with automation test tools and techniques
Experience testing mobile applications on Android
Experience testing iOS applications
Leadership experience
Experience with the client software and hardware Ecosystem
Experience testing cloud-based client/server technologies
Music and/or audio mobile apps experience
Experience with automation test tools and techniques
Must have a working knowledge of SQA methodologies and practices
Proven bug detection and regression skills
Ability to work closely with a large team of testers & developers
Experience reporting and tracking bugs & third-party issues
Extensive use of QA tools and networking tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced and informal environment
Ability to work cross-functionally with other teams to organize testing responsibilities
Ability to lead projects and contribute as part of a team
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
English – read, write and speak
