Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for a QA Lab Assistant job in Sacramento, CA. This is for a temporary (4-6 month) opportunity that will give you valuable experience to enhance your career. As a QA Lab Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the quality assurance for our clients product. This includes processing samples, dispose of hazardous waste from lab, maintain cleanliness related proper lab protocols, and assist with stocking lab equipment.  The ideal candidate is organized, pays strong attention to detail, comfortable inspecting work equipment, previous experience working in a lab environment and enjoys working with a team. Candidates must have proof of High School Diploma or GED.


Responsibilities for this QA Lab Assistant job include:

  • Grinding, homogenizing and sieving of all Aflatoxin samples in accordance with established protocols.
  • Transport samples from various locations throughout Sacramento Production.
  • Disposes of hazardous waste generated within the QA Laboratory and from specified Production locations. Maintains the bulk hazardous waste drums in accordance with established protocols.
  • Assists with dishwashing in Chemistry and Micro labs and oil pressing.
  • Stocks laboratory supplies and chemicals in a timely manner.
  • Performs routine laboratory housekeeping duties including but not limited to organizing and cleaning.
  • Disposes of product samples from both Micro and Chemistry shelves, and the maintaining of the Oilstock bin in accordance with established protocols.
  • Performs other tasks as needed or assigned by management.



  • Proof of High School Diploma or GED
  • One year experience, transporter experience and/or QA/QC experience preferred.
  • Ability to understanding and follow the concepts of HACCP, GMP/GLPs and lab safety practices. 
  • Must be able to communicate and maintain positive and effective working relationship within the laboratory to ensure samples are processed in a timely manner.
  • Position requires the ability to work independently within the scope of the job duties.  Must be able to obtain and maintain certification for the use of a respirator and transporter.
  • Works under general supervision. Work consists of routine tasks requiring some simple decision-making. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs up to 3 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to operate and drive a transporter and work with lab equipment.
  • Ability to walk on uneven ground and work at heights.
  • Exposure to excessive noise, extreme temperatures, and humidity or wetness.
  • Working with pathogenic bacteria (E. coli, salmonella, staph, strep and listeria).
