QA Specialist Aerospace

The QC Manager position develops, implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals) Will supervise a team of quality control inspectors. Compensation is 50 to 60K

Duties:
Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate and correct customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Ensure inspection and testing activities are aligned with standards to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications and determine standards to ensure high productivity and high integrity.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specification to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
Provide technical and statistical expertise to another department as needed.
Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other departments managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
Provide and oversee inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes
Interact with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts
Maintain active role on internal continuous improvement teams
Design, develop and implement quality control training programs
Responsible for all audits pertaining to Quality Control department
Ability to effectively read and write English and follow verbal instructions and use simple math

Develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or/manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. may be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a head of a Unit/ department. Manages subordinate staff in the day to day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority of personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
