QA Inspector & QA Technician

 

Description:

A leading local manufacturer is currently seeking experienced QA team members: QA Inspectors & QA Technicians.

These positions perform a variety of quality control support tasks, including product/ documentation reviews, n-process inspections, and routine customer source inspections.  This role may utilize measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and CMM measuring equipment to conduct precise inspections and measurements, at times down to 1/10,000th of an inch.  Other responsibilities include providing end item data and audit support and training other quality team-mates.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Making and documenting decisions on test variation(s)/abnormalities and reporting those items to the QC manager or Group Leader/Supervisor
  • Documenting test results using appropriate forms
  • Preparation and issuance of reports
  • Entering data into appropriate data base files
  • Perform regular product audits
  • Participate in periodic review of work/process procedures
  • Maintain and administer quality control database
  • Administer quality control programs
  • Convert extensive, complex technical materials into clear, concise reports
  • Maintain documentation for quality control procedures, programs, and initiatives

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Comfortable talking on the phone, able to manage work utilizing reports
  • Able to effectively communicate order status with appraisers and other departments
  • Two years of prior quality control review experience
  • Excellent problem resolution skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Microsoft Office suite and Internet application proficient
  • Must be able to successfully complete a client specific background check

 

The experience below is beneficial but not required:

  • Exposure to Quality in related fields like Aerospace or Auto industries
  • Inspection of 1st article runs
  • College coursework in Engineering or Metrology
  • PPAP/FIA/DSQR Certification

 

We have openings for the first shift (6:00am-2:30pm) and second shift (2:15-10:45) Monday – Friday.

 

Pay for these positions is approximately $20-25 hourly. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.
