Adecco Direct Placement is currently seeking qualified candidates for a direct hire Quality Assurance Engineer Job in Erie, PA for our client, a growing manufacturer of quality precision machines products. The Quality Assurance Engineer will support the company with new product development, daily production support, technical drawing interpretation & analysis and improvement processes. The main responsibility of the Quality Assurance Engineer is to create, review, and validate CMM programs through correlation and gage R&R studies. You will have strong business/technical writing, presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills. We are seeking candidates with experience in Aerospace or precision, high-tolerance machining, ISO-9001, NADCAP and GD & T. Our client offers a starting salary of $62,400 or more per year and a comprehensive benefits packages.

Responsibilities for the Quality Assurance Engineer Job in Erie, PA:

Create, review, and validate vision system programs through correlation and gage R&R studies.
Participate in manufacturing process capability improvements through variation reduction, error-proofing, and implementation of statistical process control.
Collect and analyze quality data to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement of products and processes to reduce cost and scrap.
Participate in the development of best practice inspection methods on new and existing products.
Review and approve First Article Inspection reports.
Participate in the internal and external quality system, process, and product audits.
Develops product quality plans and inspection methodologies.
Perform other quality related job-related duties as needed.


Minimum of 4 years of CMM programming and implementation with PC-DMIS and/or MCOSMOS.
Associate of Science degree in technical discipline is recommended as a minimum.
Proficient in the use of SolidWorks. SolidWorks Professional certification is preferred.
Experienced in Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, AS9100, and Nadcap requirements.
Excellent working knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T.
Working knowledge of inspection metrology and proper application of automated measuring equipment.
Strong business/technical writing, presentation, planning, problem solving, organizational, project management and decision-making skills.
Demonstrated working knowledge of problem solving tools: 5-Whys, Failure mode and effects analysis, 8-D, Pareto analysis, fault tree analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams.
Ability to create and/or review failure analysis reports and perform dimensional tolerance stack up analyses
Thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project, and other application software
