Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting experienced candidates for a Direct Hire Quality Assurance Director job in Botkins, OH with one of our top clients. The position will assist with manufacturing process design and development; conduct audits of quality system procedures and create audit finding reports; provide analysis of product quality and safety metrics, audit data, customer feedback, and impacts of regulatory changes as a continuing effort to improve current programs. My client seeks a self-starter that will be successful at becoming the QA Director of the facility upon successful training. The salary for this position is based upon qualifications and experience- 50k+.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for TS certifications, ISO certifications and audits
Internal and external Quality System Audit Support
Create and maintain company quality documentation including quality manuals, quality procedures, and all process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Quality Visuals
Interface with Engineering and Manufacturing Operations to ensure new products are in accordance with customer drawings
Assist with APQP Process (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
Understanding of Engineering / Product Drawings
Assist with Development of Engineering Specifications
Assist with manufacturing process design and development
Assist with manufacturing process error proofing
Perform Product Reliability Studies
Analyze work methods relative to standardized work and quality
Track and analyze monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics related to Quality for Operations Management and Management Review
Analyze manufacturing process failures and develop corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaint; responsible for the reporting, tracking, resolution on any customer complaint, concern or feedback
Conduct audits of quality system procedures and create audit finding reports
Determine proper corrective and preventive actions to close out audit findings
Provide analysis of product quality and safety metrics, audit data, customer feedback, impacts of regulatory changes as a continuing effort to improve current programs
Coordinate activities associated with Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction Programs
Utilize statistical methods to support Root Cause Analysis and implementation of corrective action process related concerns and validate all improvement activities and review opportunities with management and employees to help facilitate employee empowerment and implement approved changes
Develop training plans to build quality awareness throughout manufacturing process; analyze and resolve quality work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems; initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
Confer with other managers / supervisors / team leads to coordinate activities of individual departments to maintain quality and satisfy customers
Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system utilizing 5S and 5P Problem Solving Activities


Strong organizational, practical mathematical (statistical) skills, analytical and problem solving skills
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to conceptualize, analyze, plan and organize projects
Reasoning skills for problem identification and resolution
Knowledge and ability to understand and apply process audit principles (ISO/ASQ)
Experience in quality control program operations, to include standards and measurement techniques
Ability to apply quality control theories and principles to an operational environment
Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing Skills and Tools will be advantageous
Must excel at working in a team environment
Ability to communicate detailed, technical initiatives to non-technical associates
BA/BS degree in related field, and 3 – 5 + experience
