Adecco is assisting a client in their efforts to identify an experienced Quality Control Inspector for a Lakewood, NJ production facility.

Job Title: Quality Control Inspector


Job Summary: 

The Quality Control Inspector will work closely with the QA Manager, Production Supervisor, and Quality and Process Engineering personnel to perform product inspections and tests to determine compliance with applicable drawings, specifications, or instructions. 



  • Use microscope, micrometer, and other precision measuring instruments.

  • Verify supplier data against GSP drawings.

  • Use of mathematics including decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, simple us of diagrams, checking of records, forms, and comparable data, where interpretation may be required.

  • Complete required sheets and forms, maintaining necessary records or audits, dates inspector involved, acceptance or rejection and reasons, etc.

  • Review and evaluate non-conforming materials or prints with manufacturing engineering, design engineering, quality assurance, or production control.

  • Move materials as necessary in performance of duties.

  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to supervisor.

  • Maintain established quality standards and follow quality procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports as required.

  • Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition, that prescribed safety measures are followed, and that established company policies and procedures are adhered to.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.

Job Requirements:


  • Ability to use and operate inspection and test equipment including calipers, micrometers, functional gauges, and optical system. 

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and referenced specifications.

  • Ability to read and interpret all established manufacturing and workmanship standards and procedures while assessing compliance of all products and processes. 

  • Ability to understand and apply all ISO 900l inspection and test procedures as applicable to each inspection station. 

  • Considerable experience preparing inspection and test records/reports. 

  • Considerable audit experience or capability.

  • Excellent data entry skills.

  • Availability to work overtime as needed or as required with appropriate notice.
