Job Description: Our Client Corporation, a diversified industrial manufacturer, has an opening for a Quality Supervisor at its Beaver, PA facility. The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the Quality Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to supervise the quality technicians and lead continuous improvement activities in support of the Our Client Quality System (EQS) and Our Client Business System (EBS) as the voice of the customer for the facility. Driving focus will be on quality performance, continuous improvement and PPM reduction.

• Provide quality interface and expertise between the organization and its customers and suppliers to ensure their needs and expectations are understood and satisfied.
• Responsible for coordinating customer return analysis and for ensuring timely response to customers.
• Lead structured team problem solving efforts to resolve internal/external issues using 8-D methodology, including management of containment and verification of preventive and corrective actions.
• Motivates and coaches employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality.
• Communicates expectations and consistently holds self and direct reports (10-13) accountable for performance.
• Development and implementation of quality assurance training programs and conduct training in quality-related topics throughout the organization.
• Lead continuous improvement of the local Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with Our Client Quality System (EQS) policies, ISO9001, customer specific requirements, and all regulatory requirements.
• Assists in maintaining an atmosphere of continuous improvement and team efforts for accomplishing department and plant goals.
• Deploy control plans & other quality documents based on special characteristics and customer requirements.
• Responsible for the reporting and reduction of internal & external customer PPM, warranty, rework and scrap.
• Responsible for managing instrument calibration program.
• Manage PPAP activity, assist and provide quality support to APQP.
• Manage an intensive and robust audit program on critical areas to improve product quality and follow up on associated corrective and preventive actions.
• Support new product development and ensure timely completion of quality-related ProLaunch activities.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required. Preference for an engineering or technical degree.
• Minimum of 2 years Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Team-orientated problem solving skills and root cause / corrective action methodology
• Knowledge of quality techniques including statistical methods used to analyze and control process variations, capability studies and PFMEA
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodology
• Knowledgeable in the use of scales, calipers, micrometers and other quality control equipment
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior supervisory experience
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence and/or Six Sigma Black/Green Belt certification.
• Trained internal auditor (ISO9000 or ASQ Certified Quality Auditor) and experience performing quality audits.
• Experience either managing or supporting ISO 9001 and Our Client Quality Management systems (EQS).
• Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements including GD&T.
• Knowledge of metrology, (including application and programming preferred)
