Adecco Executive Recruitment is on the hunt for Quality Engineers for its client who has a job opening in the Jamestown, NY area.


Leads focus team(s) to develop and advance quality planning (APQP) documentation such as DFMEA/PFMEASs/Control Plan and inspection plans.
Manage customer quality relationships including customer concerns and response, customer quality measures and submission of PPAPs.
Analyzes reports and facilitates corrective actions or improvements to attain/maintain favorable customer ratings regarding quality, delivery or other applicable requirements.
Acts as liaison between customers and appropriate focus team.
Travels to customer locations to represent company in the development of OEM HD Truck products such as forward lighting and mirror programs.
Provides engineering support for the Quality Assurance/Engineering functions as it relates to the planning evaluation of materials and processing of products.
Develops quality specifications, instructions and procedures as well as monitor their effectiveness.
Recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements.
Attends and participates in daily Focus Team review meetings.
Coordinates and maintains part process documentation (i.e. Control plans, Work/Center sheets, etc) as ECN's and process changes occur or clarification is needed.
Develops and coordinates AQP functions for product/process changes (i.e. capability studies, gauging, etc.)
Reviews customer and field returns, determine if company or customer issues and cause of failure.
Visits customer and supplier sites as needed to product development concerns.
Coordinates and maintains PPAP documentation, interface with customers as required.
Reviews and evaluates internal non-confirming material, determine disposition and address causes.
Works with Purchasing on supplier issues.
Works with Lab on NCR's.
Works with other plants to resolve issues.
Coaches and directs manufacturing personnel.


Preferred candidates will have a four year Engineering/Math/Statistics/Quantitative Methods degree with emphasis on new product introduction and development using APQP methods.
Three to five (3-5) years of related experience and two to four (2-4) years of college or equivalent.
Must have project and time management skill sets with experience in leading focus team(s) to help them develop documentation such as DFMEA/ PFMEAs/ Control Plan and inspection plans.
Knowledge and experience with MS Office Products, JD Edwards, MiniTab , gages, jigs, and calculator is a must.
