Perform mechanical inspections to support company needs.
� Analyze defective parts to determine cause of defect and recommend corrective action.
� Coordinate final inspection in conjunction with the planning and shipping schedules. Verify visual and mechanical inspection and data review on final products being shipped to customer.
� Work with quality assurance engineers and manufacturing personnel to ensure effective inspection and testing procedures are implemented and maintained.
� Assist in the development of production standards to meet quality specifications.
� Inspect products being returned from the customer, assign job numbers to these returns, and input into database.
� Perform solder inspection as required.
� Inspect customer/government furnished equipment and keeps receiving inspection reports of the equipment.
� Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets
� Work closely with commercial product lines to improve quality awareness.
� Generate a �Shipping Problems� report quarterly.
� Maintain Quality Control Files.
Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
� Ability to understand and interpret blueprints required.
� Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
� Familiarity with standard measurement tools/gages such as calipers, micrometers and verniers required
� Understanding of shop mathematics required.
� Resolve problems and recommend/implement improvements to prevent problems.
� J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 Certified preferred.
� Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook preferable.
