POSITION OVERVIEW

The Quality Inspector will perform various levels of inspection and verification of molded and machined rubber and plastic products for acceptance to internal and external compliance criteria. Verification of products implies that the product is confirmed to meet general requirements of purchase order. Inspection of products implies that specific dimensional, visual and document requirement comply to customer, internal and/or industry requirements. Primary inspection and verification efforts are defined as being performed when product is received prior to being put into stock as compliant product. Secondary inspection efforts are defined as being performed based on current sales order requirements after product had already been in company inventory stock.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

Employee will be trained in inspection and verification methods that are required to perform the necessary function. Training and skill levels are documented in HR competency records. ¿ Employee to be self-motivated to prioritize workload based on production requirements ¿ Preparation of quality records using operating system will be required as a result of performing inspection and verification processes. ¿ Internal communication is expected using MS Outlook for e-mail and Skype for instant messaging. Communication is a priority to assist others within company to expedite processes involved in handling product to be used to fill customer orders. ¿ Inspector will be required to use computer to gain access to relevant documents and records in company network locations. Also, printing and scanning functions will be commonly used to control records of inspection.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS ¿

High School Diploma or GED ¿ Good computer skills and willing to learn more skills as necessary. ¿ Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications. ¿ Minimum of 1 Year experience in the use of measurement hand tools and/or non-contact measurement equipment used to inspect components ¿ Records of passing vision tests with or without corrective lens.
