In partnership with a large manufacturing client in Seacoast New Hampshire, we are hiring for several direct hire Quality Inspectors.  Quality Inspectors will be responsible for all aspects of quality inspection of the company’s products, using traditional metrology tools and techniques.  These inspectors will also be responsible for performing a wide variety of routine and non-routine inspections in the production process using pre-determined methods including visual, dimensional, mechanical, test, functional, with part set up, CMM program call up, and operating CMM including loading into inspection sheets.  We currently have openings on all four shifts and pay rates are competitive based upon experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and performance of routine and non-routine mechanical inspection using pre-determined methods for product acceptability
  • Using company operating system to generate inquiries, perform movement of material, create job routings, and any other function required to perform job duties
  • Implementation of expedient methods of inspection in order to maintain product flow in accordance with company directives
  • Use corrective action system and subsequent follow up process to resolve deficiencies found during job function
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Includes proficiency with surface plate layout techniques with traditional measuring devices (ie. Indicators, height gages, calipers, micrometers)
  • Previous experience with CMM
  • Proficient knowledge of reading blueprints including knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Basic MS Word and Excel skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis

Pay for these roles is competitive based upon experience and the shifts available are as follows:

  • 1st Shift Weekday:  Monday – Thursday from 5:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • 2nd Shift Weekday (10% differential):  Monday – Thursday from 3:00 pm – 2:00 am
  • 1st Shift Weekend (20% differential):  Friday – Sunday from 5:00 am – 5:30 pm
  • 2nd Shift Weekend (30% differential):  Friday – Sunday from 5:00 pm – 5:30 am
