Quality Manager

The Adecco Group NA is working exclusively with a global client that has been in business for over 50 years! Our client has an immediate opening for a Quality Manager. This role will require the Quality Manager to not only IDENTIFY potential failures, but to provide the owners with SOLUTIONS! This is the perfect job for someone who wants to "own" the Quality Assurance process for this client.

Job Description

1. Customer / Production Quality:

Initiates actions to prevent nonconformances in processes and products.
Works with core teams to identify, recommend or provide solutions for potential field failures.
Assists with resolution of Fast Response items
Provides disposition of internal/external non-conforming parts. Ensures high quality problem solving and corrective actions are implemented.
Implement and report customer specific quality programs as required. Lead customer audits.
Responsible for EMS activities and compliance to ISO 14001 standard.

2. Internal auditor / IATF Champion/ EMS Champion:

Leads EMS/IATF 16949 programs to ensure compliance of internal audits and surveillance audits according to schedules.
Conducts layered/internal audits for manufacturing per audit schedule.
Creates and communicates monthly audit schedule to team.

3. Quality Metrics reporting and improvement:

Reports quality KOI’s and assigns systemic actions for forecasted improvement.
Maintains Quality Roadmap, which includes step down plan for next 12 months.
Review scorecards from key customer portals and takes appropriate action.
Develops and maintains the RPN Reduction Roadmap.
Completes and reports out Quality metrics in MOS.

4. IATF 16949 / ISO 14001:

Creates Process documentation that includes, Process Flows, Procedures and Work Instructions to ensure compliance to standards.
Responsible for creating and / or revising processes and systems to continuously improve overall business performance.
Maintains master PFD, PFMEA and Control Plans to accurately represent the production process

5. Supplier Quality Management and Supplier Process Improvement

Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
Work with the supplier directly, create corrective action plans to address process failures.
Maintain supplier audit results for supplier qualification.

6. Authority to stop production and/or shipment of non-conforming parts.

Candidates that wish to apply for the Quality Manager opening should have--

Minimum 4 year degree or ASQC Certified Quality Engineer
8-10 years quality experience in an automotive environment
Certified IATF16949 Internal Auditor
