Quality and Safety Coordinator
The Quality and Safety Coordinator will act as the site quality and safety representative. The Quality and Safety Coordinator will work in conjunction with the Site Manager/Operations Manager and Corporate Quality and EHS Manager to ensure the site is performing to the company’s quality and safety standards.
Quality Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Perform mechanical inspection of pump components and systems
Perform in process and outgoing product inspection
Perform in process specific visual and measurement inspection checks
Perform ad-hoc specific visual and measurement inspection checks as directed
Perform Incoming Purchase Part Inspection
Record, report and compile inspection result data
Perform quality audits as directed
Recommend changes to inspection methods as conditions warrant
Participate in problem solving, corrective action and preventative action tasks
Interfaces with technical personnel to evaluate and recommend disposition of non-conforming material

Safety Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Head the site Safety Committee
Conduct new-hire safety orientation, and relevant SMS & QMS on-boarding training
Execute day-to-day activities, transactions, and decisions by closely following safety & quality procedures, such as, but not limited to:

JSA assessment
Machine guarding
Hazcom & Chemical hygiene
Contractor safety
Emergency preparedness plan

Liaise with the operations team leadership on communication, training, and system gaps that resulted in accidents/incidents or near misses
Lead the day-to-day coordination of operations team’s accident prevention programs based on safety incident data
Pre-start up safety review for personnel protection after equipment repairs and upgrades following the lock out / tag out procedure
Question of Safety (QoS) for unsafe environment
Conduct or coordinate regular annual health and safety testing

Required Skills:

Must have the ability to measure and handle a variety of complex parts
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
Perform well with little to no supervision
Skilled using measuring equipment: micrometer; caliper; Dial indicators etc.
Ability to see at close range for prolonged periods of time
Basic mathematical skills for data analysis.
Full MS Office type software competency (Excel, Word, PPT, Access


Experience and Education

High School diploma or equivalent
4+ years’ experience in a quality capacity
Strong documentation experience
Ability to perform inspections along with general knowledge of standard ISO programs





Compensation: $18 - $22 an hour with full benefits and 2 weeks paid vacation first year along with PTO and paid holidays. Schedule for this position is 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. Close to freeway for desirable commute and free parking!
