Job Title: Quality Team Lead Analyst

Estimated Length: 1 year with the opportunity to extend to two years based on performance

Pay: $45/hr. - $50/hr.

Location: San Jose, CA

Our goal will be to ensure that every order on for the World’s Largest Search Engine” is delivered with all items the customer ordered arriving in perfect condition. Any issue that is keeping us from achieving this goal will need to be immediately identified and root-caused by the team, partnering with cross-functional groups to execute solutions. Quality team members will also help shape the future design of our products and processes by highlighting opportunities for growth, scale, and efficiency.

We’re looking for someone with initiative and a sizable appetite for data and the “so what?” beyond the numbers. Our ideal candidate can extract actionable insights to help drive execution across a diverse set of projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and is always concerned about the customer experience.

Job Description:

You will be part of the Quality team that is responsible for analyzing customer contacts regarding fulfillment issues and driving initiatives to correct the underlying root cause. You will prioritize projects based on impact to customer experience, cost and ability to scale.  You have a strong desire to understand empirical facts and are driven by customer satisfaction. You are a problem solver by nature, a self-starter, and a diligent team player. You can clearly articulate and discuss complex quantitative concepts, and be proactive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher multiple, simultaneous projects through the entire project lifecycle; this includes managing project plans, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. This requires an expert knowledge in analytics with superb project management skills and a proven track record of delivering results. Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills, common sense and flexibility are equally valued in this role. It will also require cross functional collaboration with key stakeholders across the organization, so excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must. Attention to detail is critical but must be balanced with keeping an eye on the big picture to ensure competing dependencies are aligned for key milestone dates.


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the technical and operational challenges of e­commerce
  • Ability to tailor communication style to audience and medium
  • Sound business judgment and ability to influence effectively by presenting data in a compelling way
  • Recent and solid experience with spreadsheets (Google/Excel) and advanced analysis experience
  • Relevant work experience in a project management role
  • Collaborative with a strong bias for action: Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally with colleagues in a fast-moving organization
  • Detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work at speed
  • Have a strong sense of ownership and a desire to develop new skills
  • Possess strong work ethics
  • Self-directed, curious, and intrinsically motivated
  • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to system and data changes


Preferred Qualifications (not required but a big plus):

  • SQL
  • Statistical analysis languages and packages such as Python, R, Pandas
  • Previous Quality and/or e-Commerce related knowledge
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects


  • Gain full comprehension of all fulfillment processes (including the risks and interdependencies with other work streams) to interpret and analyze data
    • Identify trends and propose solutions
    • Suggest improvements based on gaps in existing processes/systems
    • Flag issues with appropriate internal partners and drive cross functional projects to resolve
  • Foster cross-functional relationships
  • Drive projects from start (identification of issue) to end (including audit/compliance process) with minimal oversight
  • Improve quality and efficiency by working cross-functionally to design and develop technical, material, and/or operational solutions
  • Provide accurate, timely, and detailed reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis. The ability to prioritize reports is critical
  • Escalate findings appropriately and professionally communicate findings in written and oral formats to senior stakeholders.
  • Document, plan, and track all projects using standard project management tools
    • Partner with key XFN stakeholders for alignment on timing, required resources and expected outcomes
  • Aid in developing strategic communication programs
