Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager

Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting candidates for a direct hire Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager position in Clyde, OH for a growing injection molding company. The position offers a competitve salary and a great benefit package.

In this position you will play a key role in leading the Quality/Continuous Improvement Department in all areas and functions. To excel in this position, you must have a passion for the customer, have a strong plastics background, and be knowledgeable in Quality/Continuous Improvement. The Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for supervision of the quality and continuous improvement staff, including the establishment and maintenance of quality standards, controls, procedures and plans, organizes, and allocates the department’s resources to meet department and company goals.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize and implement quality control systems, procedures, and improvements in conjunction with supporting staff in daily projects and activities.
Coordinate and manage the quality and continuous improvement staff, including the establishment and maintenance of quality standards, department and company goals, and customer satisfaction.
Establish a vision for the quality/continuous improvement department, to assure highest quality standards and high customer service levels. Provide an environment that fosters continuing awareness and employee involvement and active participation in improving/enhancing the quality content of the division products and services.
Direct and lead plant continuous improvement activities.
Participate in internal programs, communications, and cost reductions, through contacts with educational institution, professional societies, and manufacturers. Keep abreast of new developments in procurement procedures and practices, and new sources of supply.


Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, advanced education preferred.
An effective communicator, this professional must provide leadership in the quality side, but also be able to roll up the sleeves and be involved in the details of the manufacturing operation.
Supervisory Experience of 6 – 8 plus years.
This professional will have strong analytical ability, effective critical thinking skills and be creative in his endeavors.
Experience in Development and Maintenance of Quality Assurance Programs involving Inspection Methods and Techniques that meet customer requirements and deadlines.
Knowledge of Quality Systems, Statistical Process Control, Lean Manufacturing, and Blue Print Reading required.
