Title: R & D Analyst Assistant

Location: Plano, Texas
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Contract: 20-30 Hours per week



Job Summary:



This role performs a variety of duties, primarily focused on data entry, compilation, and analysis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Apply detailed organization skills to develop and maintain R&D documentation related to FSMA compliance.
Collaborate with product developers to create, update, route, and maintain ingredient, finished product, and in-process specifications.
Develop proficiency in specification systems to lead data entry and review.
Interface with ingredient vendors or suppliers to obtain needed information in support of spec development.
Organize and maintain records.
Prepare data for communication to scientists and engineers.
Lead data entry and basic data analysis for R&D activities (including, but not limited to, shelf life, breakage, moisture, and other analytical attributes)
Assist scientists and engineers in the development of job aids for commercial production.
Provide detailed quarterly report on work streams, including completed, in-progress, and pending activities.


Qualifications

College degree is required in a science-related field. Minimum Associates degree. Basic math skills a must.
Must have general computer skills including Outlook (email) and MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
High Personal Initiative; results oriented, energetic and resourceful.
High degree of organization and ability to prioritize amid frequent scope changes.
Solid problem solving and action planning skills.
Must possess effective oral and written communication skills, including summarization and report writing.
Solid interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively in cross functional teams.
Must be an active learner, demonstrating desire and ability to quickly and independently learn new skills.
A strong commitment to SAFETY.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
Product Development experience in the food industry (working knowledge of product development protocols, including formula specifications setting and formats.)
Has a working knowledge of ingredient specification systems (Product Vision)
